Knowing how to select and care for your tomatoes makes a big difference in flavor and in shelf-life. To ensure your tomatoes remain beautiful and mouth-watering until you serve it at your table, our advice is:
Selecting Your Tomatoes
Select tomatoes that have a deep, rich color. That color isn’t just appetizing, it also means that the tomato is fully ripe and has a rich supply of nutrients. The skin should be smooth, firm, and free of blemishes. The tomato should feel a little heavy for its size.
Caring for Your Tomatoes
Store your tomatoes at room temperature on the counter, a shelf or in a basket, away from direct sunlight. Your tomatoes were picked when ripe and will ripen a bit more on the inside when stored at room temperature.
Do not store your tomatoes in the refrigerator.

| Also known as “cluster tomatoes” our Tomatoes on the Vine are a deep rich red color, bursting with flavor. Our tomatoes have “a take me home” appeal that only comes from being ripened on the vine. Salads, salsas, soups and just as a snack are some of the many uses that the consumer has options. Since our tomatoes are grown in a clean environment, we believe that nature has provided a natural way to protect them. So we do not wax or coat any of our tomatoes to try to protect them or to prolong their shelf life. | ||
